FABREGAS REJECTED MANCHESTER UNITED BECAUSE OF HIS GIRL FRIEND

Cesc Fabregas was forced to reject the chance to move to Manchester United in favour of Chelsea on the orders of his girlfriend Daniella Semaan, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The Spain international complete his move to Stamford Bridge on Thursday afternoon in a £27 million deal from Barcelona. Fabregas admitted that Arsenal rejected the chance to re-sign him, leaving the battle for his signature down to Chelsea and Manchester United.

For Louis van Gaal, however, it seemed he was always fighting a losing battle in his reported attempts to sign Fabregas, as the player’s girlfriend had told him she would not be please if he decided
on a move to Old Trafford.
Semaan urged Fabregas to make sure he rejected Manchester United’s advances and find a club in London. With Arsenal out of the equation, Chelsea was the only viable option.
The reason is geographical rather than fandom for Semaan, who could not see herself setting up a life in Manchester but could accept the idea of living on England’s capital.
Ideally, she would not have left Barcelona at all and had asked Fabregas to seriously consider staying at the Nou Camp despite the fact the club were desperate to get rid of him.
