Soulja Boy Charged For Carrying Gun In Porsche

Soulja Boy faces two misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident in January when he was caught carrying a loaded gun in a Porsche.

The rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was arrested after the vehicle he was a passenger in was pulled over for running a stop sign. Police took him into custody when they discovered he had a loaded Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver.Law enforcement charged him this week with unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm and possession of marijuana to boot.

Soulja Boy said he's not at fault for the gun being in the vehicle. He said his neighbor borrowed the car and had stashed the firearm under the seat.
